About The sweet high
Rock and roll, blues, heavy guitar solos and powerful vocals is what makes The Sweet High. The band consists of four twenty something year olds living in New York City. After jamming regularly in a Harlem apartment, the band puts a spell on audiences all over NYC at venues such as Bowery Electric, Berlin, and Mercury Lounge. Jules Miranda, lead vocalist and main songwriter, started The Sweet High in late 2016, with the hopes of bringing her once acoustic songs to life. Will Fisher (bass) and Joey Zicarello (guitar) have made that happen, as well as Julian Giaimo (drums) who produced their first single “Don’t Tell Mama” in 2017. The four friends, originally from New Jersey, New York, and New Mexico, met through restaurant jobs and college audio engineering programs, and are anticipating a five song EP Pretty Easy to be released in spring/summer of 2019, followed by many shows in the New York area. The Sweet High is currently one of NYC’s hidden gems, but it won’t be a secret for too long, as more and more crowds are dancing to their captivating grooves.
